Botacid – a product-line of additives combining selected organic acids and botanical elements.

In co-operation with a partner we have further developed a line consisting of products containing both organic acids and selected botanical elements. The products have shown several different positive effects on production parameter, for instance a reduced need for feeding high amounts of acids and ZnO to newly-weaned piglets.

The products are produced in Denmark by our partner. In some countries we market the products, but our partner markets the product in most European countries; we will be happy to pass contact details on to interested parties. Please contact us at office Nor-Add

Increasing demand for feed-additives that release active constituents slowly

There are, internationally, increasing problems with pathogenic bacteria, especially such as are Gram+ and anaerobic.

The problems are accentuated by the withdrawal of the dangerous antibiotic growth promoters from the markets, but also by the growing awareness of the environmental dangers that the use of heavy metals as additives in feeds cause.

The Norgano product line encompasses a number of products, based on different botanical elements  –  a.k.a. phytobiotics or phytogenics  –  with different active properties, so targeting different problems; all the products in the line are releasing their active constituents slowly, meaning that they are released late in the animals’ digestive system.

Contact Nor-Add A/S for further information about these slow release products

Products in the drinking water –and cleaning of the drinking water system

Administration of a product through the drinking water can be carried out faster, simpler and often also cheaper than it can by including the same product in the feed. However, depending on the type of product supplied, it will, to a greater or lesser extent accelerate the production of biofilm in the drinking water system. Therefore, it is necessary to regularly clean both the medicine dispenser and the other parts of the drinking water system.
